sizzle…the rains washed the streets and kept folks in whatever place they found themselves..La Fonda Real packed to the gills, Pollo empty…the park, usually filled with young lovers, not.
Reincarnation! no, it didn’t come back as a flower but on Tuesday, 15th, what was El Palacio de India reopens as Zaika/Zaira…hey, my eyes are goin’..
if the food is half as good as it was when Jennifer was running things, it’ll be a place to eat…jeez, THAT melt-down….last heard of, she’d gone back to Germany, having left in a huff…no money, no car, locks changed….a cruel family affair and say no more..the usual joints sharing the backpacker/student/christian crowds…Red’s, Reillys, La Esquina…even Tartines, Welton and Bistro Cinq had bodies…El Muro quiet at 8pm but by then I was soaked to the knees, umbrella useless in the downpour. La Esquina, for you football pool/gambling types, has a betting board in the entrance(no, I didn’t check the $ or the prize)…but I did see the largest stretch limo this side of Vegas outside San Jose El Viejo..BFD, I know.
Randumb thoughts, as an ambulance bounced past me, siren on full…would you want to be a patient in the back, pounding the cobblestones? I admit that I enjoy the sight of the ladies on their scooters, bouncing ever so deliciously….uploading of images isn’t working well..use your imagination. Last dumb question of the night: if you drink too much Pavlov(that cheap Moroccan vodka) will you start barking like a dog and drooling when the bell rings? woof…
