so…supposedly Bistro Cinq is or might be sanctioned from selling alcohol….por que? equally strange is the unconfirmed rumor that the City will ban all alcohol sales on New Year’s Eve and dispense beverages themselves…right..set up some stands in the park, plug in some blenders and crank margaritas?
changes…another ‘Mayan Spa’ on upper 5ta, where the Antigua Tobacco Company had their cigar store: how many more spas can this town support? Tobacos y Vinos being bounced outa their location sometime soon…the non-profit coffee shop/Whiskey bar behind Ocelot having some immigration problems, stalling their project….and the crepe place in front, to be operated by the absentee Texans? no recent work observed…
Nelson at Ocelot last night? damn…’knew I shoulda stayed longer…i missed his show in San Francisco(lady friend had to catch the red-eye to Florida)…Pangea, packing ’em in on the weekends…Hectors just packs ’em in night by night…weird sight in front of Sangre: a bodyguard in a new vest that was embroidered with a scorpion in gold thread…the scorpion being the favorite symbol of Mexican narcos in the Sierra Madre: no, I’m not making any connection, just observing…Elle should be back in Antigua soon, in case you were wondering…me, I’m still wondering about ‘Mayan Spas’…and the dust is still settling over the departure of Don Marco..the reward offered was $1000. Another classic Antigua story, where truth is stranger than fiction.
