I was gonna write about this last nite but TIGO said i was outa time (and a sentiment probably shared by a few others) but for whatever reason, I’ve been restored/reincarnated..JH sent a great photo of the crash debris and suggested that Antigua become a ‘no fly zone’…I suggest that A-Town capitalizes on this event and brings political refugees/hacks over the park..say, at about 500 feet or so and make them ‘jump out the door’ with extra points for hitting the fountian in central park.
Is Sunday night becoming like Monday night, i.e., quiet/slow/dead for the food/beverage vendors? I caught the tail end of the pub quiz at O’lot and left before the 2nd Anniversary of same kicked off…walked around..der Henrik strolling, dos Reilly’s quiet (Brielle and Marbel doing the bar duty…now that’s a pair to draw to)Travel Menu et al quiet, north 5ta closed…well, Cashbar was and the rest shoulda been..or is it just the letdown after Semen Santa and now we’re all waiting for vacation/school’s out and the summer tourists? I dunno…you tell me. The high point of my Sunday was defrosting my mini-fridge, re-wiring my hair dryer and glueing the right boot sole to keep the water out when i’m fording the flooded calles. Mr Excitement, eh? more like Mr. Exlax…
‘crash debris’?…once went to a ‘flying saucer expo’ in nevada with my old pal, Jerry T…one of the vendors had a small display of silver colored bent/twisted pieces of what looked like aluminum, that he was selling as ‘crash debris’…for $400 bucks a gram!..hell, coulda bought four grams of…right..same place where this guy comes up to the same vendor and says that he’s from the 25th Century and he’s come back in time, because the vendor is famous in the 23rd Century and he wants to interview him..the Galactic Times or the Uranus Express? I forget…
looks like a trip to Quirigua is ‘on’ for tomorrow..a little overnighter and away from the blazing nightlife of Antigua..and maybe, just maybe a bit of tectonic shift in the future of the little booklette…Marbel the Marvelous has the battle plan for this week, so if you see her schlepping books, give her $$(we both need it)…and yes, I’m liking the weather change…little night showers, the pitter-patter of rain on the roof…might as well ‘go with the ….’ cuz it’s here and my boots are glued.
