Ocelot popped last night for…smoking. Yeah, again…a warning…the Butt Police can find ‘criminal behavior’ but they can’t find criminals…total bullshit…O’lot, in light of the latter, has hired private security guards…with shotguns/pistols..where the hell is Juan Mario Cervantes, our ex-Kojak cop? working in the city, wearing a tie…
Allan Garcia, running things at Travel Menu…the only guy in town who decants the wine before serving it…total class. His idea about security in town? take the 20 useless military guys who hang out in their barracks and station them on a few corners…say 1-5am? The PNC are totally useless/clueless, unless they’re part of the…no…couldnt’ be..PNC on the take?
I died and went to BBQ heaven today…Pappy’s BBQ, next to the Cactus Grill..#24, 6th Calle Poniente, around the corner from DHL office? ribs, brisket sandwich, beans and bongo fury! beef jerky!….hot or teriyaki…best I’ve had in a decade or so…all of it, smasheroo/aka fucking great ….I’ll not BBQ at home for a long time, if only to do the occasional steak…
http://www.examiner.com/article/stuck-semuc-champey for the latest installment of lunacy
did I already go here? Mikhail of Lava’s great crowded salsa Monday night? alway seen with a tall blue cocktail?…it’s a ‘Bleu Job’….how many Blue Jobs can one handle in a night?
finally…’went by Carla B’s Terraza Hostel…yeah, she’s running it…small but great..it’s a ‘party hostel’ and if the Monday Night Pub Crawl is a clue, she’s doin’ it well..
‘think I’ve got a case of Tuk Tuk back….a lot of trips this week…either that or last weeks’ run with Hill Billy Tom did something….Happy Birthday to Alabama Bob…his main present, Evelyn from El Salvador was here and looking xlnt…she is a great woman and he’s lucky but I s’pose he knows that.
Frank May of Nim P’ot at Ocelot on a night other than Sunday(the Pub Quiz)?…yep..the patio was on ‘overflow’ with the usual/unusual suspects plus…gonna need more table and chairs…ah! rent ’em from the recently closed/demised ‘Papa Town’….idiots…no license, no plan,no clues..how does Mitos…5th ave sur, stay in business?
and thanks, Hogan for suggesting cheesecake for breakfast…I was ranting about my four favorite foods, for which I’ll go far afield for: BBQ, Mexican food, prime rib and cheesecake..so we hit La Cenicienta, in their new location of 5th ave, next to Taco-Town..the blackberry slice was old/crumbly but his lemon cake was superb..I’m inclined to try Metiz again…graham cracker crust and the stuff that Marbel and i had was also xlnt…Mex/prime rib is out, as far as Guatemala is concerned unless you can point me in right direction..Pappy’s has BBQ totally covered, trust me.
