can dance on a pinhead? let me know the answer sometime (or not)…The newly opened Exit Inn is picking up a following, especial for lunches…the trick? the old Travel Menu thing of providing cheap/inexpensive good food and that was a concept that worked. Yeah, the ‘new’ Travel Menu’ menu is working also but with a slightly different concept…good for everyone. even though Alabama Bob took off this week for El Salvador (Evelyn Mundo, you know)
so, per La Prensa Libre today, there’s an Irish restaurant in town now…down 6th calle, by el tanque verde..isn’t there a Japanese place around there? that’s not the best of locations…Como Com is hanging on and the Cafe Mediterrean somehow stays open..6th calle, the new center of gravity for Antigua.
and the weekend has some events…Friday night, 8pm, El Sitio, is the opening night for Les Lapin Agile…Saturday, 12pm, 9th calle/4th ave, is Rusty Lucky’s Art and Alcohol art thing…from the photos of FB, I gotta go…next week, Franks ranch on the hill restaurant opens, in time for Maximon’s birthday (perfect).
notice how there are copycats/imitators of successful restaurants in town? BBQ joints, in oarticular..now’there’s 3..and why o why do certain restaurants think that by offering breakfast they’ll do business? Jardin Bavaria, the spanish paella place on 6th ave and Los Tres Tiempos?
ok, off the soap box and back into my cave..have a great week
