yeah, that’s a stretch but that’s what Shaun of Ocelot said he saw…half a dozen or so, pretending to be Italians and doing something related to roadwork…even for Guatemala, that’s weird but go ask Shaun..he, as with some of us, is marveling at the resurgence of the music scene here lately..Friday night one had Mercedes at the Snug, followed by the return of Nelson at Travel Menu…Sunday, Nelson is doing Frank’s place on the hill in the afternoon and then Angies later, with Wayne urbane Hooper…Bobby Darling and Grace are booked solid, here and there..Saturday night, the Exit Inn has a new singer, who rocks per Alabama Bob
And the town is fulla tourists, of the white variety..plus the usual chapines..Fusion did a table for ten last night, the ever fabulous Mayra on deck at Mamma’s and I’m liking the mix of customers at the Exit…La Taverna had some of the Friday at the watering hole crowd..some, but not all…is the Exit Inn taking some? (yes). Even the tired Kabuki restaurant had diners. Dr J and Susan found a new place to nosh out on 6th calle…pronounced it good…nope, don’t recall the name but by the Tanque Verde, along with the japanese restaurant and the newish ‘irish’ restaurant..ask either for the name, as I wasn’t taking notes and relying of what passes for memory…Reid C was impressed by the Karma Gastropub, Henrik’s latest venture in the City.He and Mike D spent the night in City, as the Pan-Am Hotel, making rounds..Mike’s applying for his DPI, the sign of seriously moving here..and yes, finally at the end of the latest, ‘Ponzi Bob and the…..’figure it’ll up/out in a week or so, not in time for Black Friday but close..Maybe Pearl Harbor Day.
long time no see/hear of Murray, of Sangre/Estrella days..HBT is still paying storage on Murray’s jeep, last I heard.
