I s’pose that one could find something racist in that….kind of like going to San Francisco, striking out and saying that it was as fruitless effort…so, one of THE major holidays in that north american stew we call culture, thanksgiving…rolls around..families, friends and stress..a few places in A-town doing the sit-down thing: the restaurant El Arco, Don Martin and Epicure…probably others, altho I haven’t felt the need to do the footwork/research..at least two are also doing take-out for the ingredients: Culinaria, the deli on 6th ave north, south of the Jungle Party and Epicure…I’m going with Epicure, since I know Jon..and despite invitations, I’m not in a ‘social mood.’
tryin’ to wrap up Ponzi Bob/River and get it done with..
else weird? what had been the Restaurant Panchoy and then the Restaurant Viejo, across from dos mil on 6th avenida? now Studio +, a bar with pizza…oooh, good..we needed another bar and more pizza outlets..
and you gotta admire FRank of Nim P’ot for the way he’s pushing the Cerro de San Cristobal restaurant…free shuttles, frequent music….
is this town getting weirder? we’ve got the guy in the flight suit, with either the red/blue beret, pushing coffee, lately decked out in a turkish outfit, complete with turban…Blodgett, matching cane/shoes and disjointed conversations…Allen? hair, fringed jacked and tricked out motorscooter…and a happy birthday to Ligia of Guate-Es, that upscale shop next to La Casa de Jade in El Jaulon..so, one last question: which joint says they have the ‘nicest terrace in town’ and which one says they have the ‘worst terrace in town?’..’buy ya a beer for the correct answers..Jackson/Susan have found a new eaterie..and it’s good/cheap.,..Casa San Tomas…NW corner of 6th calle, 2nd avenida..
