so…we’ve got a Little Caesars and now…a Wendy’s…can a Sizzler be far behind? there’s already a Waffle House in San Lucas. re: Wendys…for the time being they’re only serving chicken sandwiches or you can have a chicken sandwich. The story goes that they’ll have a full menu in a week or so…or so, GST
and depending on your point of view, there’s a couple of great venues for watching the fireworks tomorrow night: Frank’s Place, on the hill, for the full valley-wide spectacular or Los Tres Tiempos, the old Reillys’, and up on the terrace for the ground zero effect. The Casbah will be doing something and one of my favorite firecrackers, the marvelous Marbel will be working the lower bar.
La Taverna is doing a New Year’s dinner…a mixed grill of lamb, pork, chicken and whatever else, for 200q…probably 7pm would be good..
I probably won’t be ‘out’ as I tend to avoid the happy happy crowd scene…frankly, I don’t like to dodge the miserable few who get tanked nor the backpackers. But, I do have to admit that the morning perambulations aren’t showing what used to be typical, multi-colored puddles of puke. From about 1pm, Franks will have 12 hours of non-stop music and you don’t have to drive…just get back to Antigua and figure it out from there. I’ll probably go up here to the upper terrace, with my own valley view(Joco/San Felipe) and worry about getting down, in the dark..or not…holy jezuz…2015, already?
