‘need to lose a quick 5 lbs to fit into something? try the tuna sandwich at La Casaca…I did, on Wednesday and today is the first day of feeling somewhat back to normal…a friend had one yesterday and reported the same experience…and this isn’t the first time I’ve heard complaints.
So…Mike D’s back in town and sorting out what what’s at La Taberna…as usual, another Antigua story…different versions but at least the Casa Fuentes is back and running…or limping. The latest concept is ‘upscale vendors’….I can’t think of any mini-malls who are making it this way…Nido Antigua, same location, across the street, sees their vendors come and go…up and down 5th avenida norte, the same…El Jaulon, anchored by Casa de Jade and Michos, hangs in there..there’s no ‘upscale’ people anymore…backpackers, Christians and cruise ship people, none of which have money or taste or time…
The Exit Inn’s 1st anniversary next Monday…the 12th…party time, free stuff…and I should be adequately recovered by then…6pm or so, G.S.T, of course
face it, bar/restaurant owners…this is an ice-cream/pizza (cheap) destination…work with it..and yes, El Cepo, that ‘denver boot-clamp’ thing is back in operation…and putting on clamps, at 250q a pop, so if you’re double parked where you shouldn’t be, listen for the warning horn. …’happened to me once, a long time ago, back when it was 300q…
and thanks, JR for the ‘Frank story’ I’d heard it but didnt’ have PNC blog site…too cool and a great photo of Frank, under arrest…another Edwin deal gone sideways? and also for the article about Rio Suerte…what will be this/next year’s new great idea?..pick up a copy of ‘Ponzi Bob and the River of Scum’ for some history…
