izzat a full Moon tonight? my expensive Antigua calendar ($150q) doesn’t mention it…the ol’ freebie from Frener did. And yes, again no price/Amazon stickers for the book…oops…hey, what’s ten days of broken promises? (typical)…

rain and snow this morning? yeah! Acatenango and San Marcos(upland) got a dusting of whiteness…the clouds moved in too quickly for me to get a glimpse of Acatenango’s snow cone but the photos from elsewhere were xlnt…and a sprinkle of rain at 6 or so?…

the alcohol consumption levels at Ocelot and elsewhere might drop a bit…Hap and Hogan outa town, to Honduras…Jason Lever of Lava back in town…’gave up on the gold mining scene in Brazil…’had to be a big difference after Siberia,no?

I’m told that the new Ford gas-sucker runs well and should come out the winner in any ‘bump and run’ tests…yep, got maps and a tentative ‘thumbs up’ from my publisher in the States about a ‘field trip for minerals’…comin’ next month, to a store near…no…somewhere, between Rabinal and Soloma’, per Ponzi Bob…who doesn’t remember ‘exactly where’…it’s another road trip, one way or the other..March being Norm’s last month in Antigua, we’ll drag him along for geology lesions…lessons, 1-B….yeah, that’s an Indian Love Stone….otherwise a f…..king rock…and adios to Kristen Sullivan, the daughter of old friends from Placerville, NorCal….what a kick she was…come back, anytime..y’all heah?

Day#2 in the Secret Mountain Laboratory, where the relentless search and thirst for knowledge never quits, where no task is too daunting and daily sacrifices are made(except for virgins, which are back-ordered).

The Second Day of Rigorous Testing

The Second Day of Rigorous Testing

Obviously there are a few more ‘bells and whistles’ included with the brand on the right…the hat doesn’t fit for shit, even when you’ve had a few tastings but they did include what appears to be a bag of ‘mexican brown’ smack, complete with a neat little bag for your outfit.

A Side Benefit

A Side Benefit

The ants…alas…they found what they thought was breakfast….toasted by mezcal.

Seriously though…there are significant differences in Rexer’s elixir and the mass-produced version(no, they don’t make it in church)…his is made in smaller batches, with a smokier aftertaste from the wood fires that the crushed cores are heated in…it is smoother from the start to the finish, although Brand#2 seemed to become smoother as the lights in the laboratory continued to burn far into the night. Functionality in mental processes appeared to be hitting on all eight cylinders and perceptions were not observably diminished….augmented? Further research is indicated. There did appear to be some early morning discomfort in the area of the frontal regions of the cerebral cortex….whether or not this was due to the mixture of the two brands or the enthusiastic measures consumed in the name of science will have to be further dealt with. Sic Gloria Transit Mundi! (she’ll be here next monday)

My Kind of Travel Agency

My Kind of Travel Agency

Is this a place to go to for ‘sex tours’?  and it’s right on 5ta Avenida Norte, in plain sight although the building might be described as a ‘plain brown wrapper.’

Big Brown Jug, How I Love Thee

Big Brown Jug, How I Love Thee

‘speaking of a plain brown wrapper, I finally bought an EcoFiltro water system…the terracotta version. Yes, I could’ve had my name on it or a picture of someone…hmm…nope, that’s like having a tattoo that you can’t explain later..the water in this casa has been more and more intermittent(it goes out often, to where I don’t know). My main use for running water is for coffee and ice-cubes(yes, I do bathe) but that’s not crucial to one’s way of life. This will solve any potential shortages and bring harmony and feng shui to my kitchen…if that faux/foul chinese restaurant, Su Chow Comida on 5ta norte served half-way decent food, I could have kung foul chicken to go with the feng shui.

Explain This

Explain This

I can just imagine trying to explain a picture like this on your EcoFiltro…right…we were testing it for leaks…I went with the plain version after she threw in the towel.
